NCC Mentoring Program
The Naples Camera Club is designed for new and intermediate photographers. If you are currently shooting in Automatic, sports mode, scenic mode or any other automatic type setting, these classes are for you.
We will teach you to shoot in manual mode, where you control the f stop, shutter speed and ISO.
The class will show you how each mode affects the outcome of the photo.
- We will show how different f stops from 2.8 to 22 affect the depth of field.
- We instruct on how shutter speed can show motion, freeze a subject or create a blurred image.
- We also show how ISO can be used to your advantage to obtain sharper images at various levels of light.
Not only do these classes show the basics, but we will also show you how to take creative photos using HDR and In Camera Motion (ICM) images.
Mark McCulfor instructs the Nikon users; Dave McFarlane instructs the Cannon users. We are currently looking for a Sony instructor. If you can shoot in manual. You can be an instructor.
The season schedule can be found under NCC Groups and Activities/Camera Mentoring Group Schedule.
The classes are held at Koreshan State Park in Estero, Florida located on U.S. Highway 41 at Corkscrew Road. We meet by the old generator building. https://www.floridastateparks.org/parks-and-trails/koreshan-state-park
