Camera Mentoring Groups
Naples Camera Club is happy to conduct mentoring groups for Canon, Nikon, Fuji, and Sony cameras. These sessions are excellent for all levels including beginners and those who wish to brush up on their camera setup skills. The following is the current agenda for these sessions. You are invited to attend one, all, or your own selection of sessions.
Session 1 November 26
- Adjusting the Diopter to bring view finder into sharp focus.
- Shooting in Aperture Priority

Session 2 January Light Meters and Histogram
- Using the Light meter to show proper exposure.
- Using the histogram to show proper exposure.
Session 3 January 14 Metering Mode and Focus mode
- Setting the Metering Mode Describe when and why to select the various modes.
- Setting the Focus Mode Describe when and why to select the various modes.
Session 4 February 11 Single shot, Multiple shots, Servo modes
- Setting One Shot photo
- Setting Multiple Shot photo
- Setting Servo, One Shot and AI Servo
- Setting White Balance
- Setting RAW, JPEG
Session 5 February 18 3-7 shot bracketed modes and full manual settings
- Setting bracketing for 3-5-7 shot images.
- Setting the 2 and 10 second timer
- Shooting in Manual
- Change and set your ISO setting.
- Change and set shutter speed.
- Change and set f/stop.
Session 6 March 17 Using an ND filters total manual
- Review Session
- Take same image with different f/stops, shutter speeds and ISO.
- Compare the differences to show the difference on a slow shutter speed and focus.
- F stop to show different depth of fields with the same photo.
