NCC MVP Award Recipients

At the last meeting for our 2024 - 2025 Season, we honored Dave McFarlane, Karen Regan, Donna Sutton, and Katie Mazer, each concluding a brilliant 5 years of service as a Naples Camera Club leader.
Dave was also awarded the Most Valuable Photographer for his outstanding Dedication and service. Dave jumped in as president 5 years earlier when the former president stepped down from the position. Since then, Dave has been instrumental in building the club's welcoming culture, expanding on our club's experiences, and growing the club. His leadership was always welcomed and helped the club distinguish itself as the premier camera club in southwest Florida.
Karen served as our VP Programs for the last 5 years. She brought in talent, or leveraged in-club talent to do presentations at our meetings, with many of them being followed up with a club photo workshop or event afterwards. Her programs were always a hit during our meetings, with the next program anxiously awaited. Karen's focus on programs helped raise the skills of our membership to new levels.
Donna served as our treasurer. In that role she ensured our finances were attended to in the smallest of details. Dona also ushered in a transition from mailing checks for dues and special events to providing for credit card payments via PayPal. This transition made it easier for members to pay dues and fees for those special events requiring such. Dona always performed her duties with a smile on her face and a can-do attitude.
Not pictured in Katie Mazer. Katie has concluded her 5 years of service as the club's image judging coordinator. In her 5 years in this position, she consistently identified qualified judges to provide scoring and critiques for our competition entries. Her efforts ensured the club's competitions were staffed with judges which resulted in the ability of the club to hold competitions without delay or cancellation.
Thank you to all of them for their hard work. Their efforts have bee appreciated by all of our members.

NCC President Dave McFarlane presenting the NCC MVP Award to Deborah Law. Deborah embodies the club’s spirit to Create. Connect. Inspire. Deborah served in many capacities in Naples Camera Club. In fact, there were times where she filled multiple positions within the club simultaneously.
At the end of the 2023-2024 season, Deborah retired from her position as the VP Competitions. In that position she set-up and managed all of our competitions from the early planning stage to awarding man of the club’s members for their awesome images. Deborah always went the extra step, coaching and encouraging members to participate in competitions. Her advice, especially to new competitors was always sound and spot on.
Deborah also served as the club’s webmaster. In that role she maintained the website and displayed competition entries earning the top scores. These are displayed throughout our club’s website. A few years ago, she turned the webmaster duties over to another member, but continued to provide support.
Congratulations to Deborah Law for achieving Naples Camera Club’s highest honor, the NCC MVP Award. And thank you Deborah for all of your hard work through your years of service. Deborah continues to be a member of NCC.

Celebrating Bob Kenedi's Birthday
At Naples Camera Club, we believe in celebrating important events, such as our oldest and dearest member's birthday in November 2023. Happy 92nd birthday Bob!
