Unlock your creative potential and discover how to craft Impressionistic-looking photographs using nothing more than your digital camera or smartphone. Charles will describe the process of using long-exposure and multiple-exposure techniques to transform everyday scenes into unimaginable visual masterpieces.
Using an easy-to-understand, step-by-step approach, he will define and illustrate techniques such as, Long-Exposure Pan/Tilt, "Multiple-Exposure Monet" (a technique Charles invented), Multiple-Exposure Rotate & Zoom, Soft-Glow Montage and Composite Montage. He will also explain how to use a free script in Photoshop to accomplish this same look, if your camera does not have built-in multiple-exposure capability. Our Captain's Schedule dictates this day. We will have another Fish Shack trip in early May for all those who are still up north or are unable to attend in November.
The trip cost is $150 per person for members. This includes the tip. Please send a check made out to Dave McFarlane to reserve your spot. It will be refundable up to November 8, 2023 Mail it to Dave McFarlane 16209 Coventry Crest, Fort Myers 33908.
We can carpool from Fort Myers to a place To Be determined.
Dave has tentatively reserved two boats so the first 12 people that get their checks to him will be on the list.
We may also try to get off the boat on Cayo Costa Island and North Captiva to photograph the driftwood. Wear clothing that can get wet as we climb off the boat in these two locations.
The fish shacks are color iconic structures in the water that provide a great foreground against a summer sky and sunset. We did this a few years ago and several ribbon winning photos were taken. Dave plans to his 100-500, 24-105 and a wide angle 12-24 Lens on the two bodies I will carry.
